Congressman Van Taylor said,"The Congressional Art Competition is an excellent opportunity for Collin County students to sharpen their creative skills and earn recognition for their work on the national level. Collin County is home to some of the most talented students in the country and I can't wait to see their work."

The Congressional Art Competition was created in 1982. To date, hundreds of thousands of high school students throughout the country have participated. The winning artist’s work will be displayed for one year in the national exhibition in the Cannon Tunnel, a pedestrian walkway leading the U.S. Capitol. In addition, the first-place winner will receive airfare for two to Washington, DC where they can view their artwork in the exhibition and take part in a reception honoring their achievement.
The second place winner will have their artwork displayed in Congressman Taylor’s Washington, DC office and the third place winner will have their artwork displayed in Congressman Taylor’s district office in Collin County.

All artwork and signed release forms must be brought to Congressman Taylor's Collin County office no later than 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Late submissions will not be accepted.
