The virtual forum will feature information about obtaining a Congressional Nomination to attend one of the United States Service Academies and include information directly from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
All high school and middle school students who reside within Texas' Third Congressional District and are interested in attending a service academy should review the material provided on Congressman Taylor's website. The United States Service Academies offer a unique and esteemed educational opportunity for young men and women who desire to train as commissioned officers in the Armed Forces. Appointed students receive a four year university education, room and board, medical and dental coverage and a stipend in exchange for a five year military service commitment upon graduation.
After reviewing the Virtual Academy Forum material which will be available on Tuesday, September 28, 2020, students currently in the process of applying for a service academy nomination through Congressman Taylor, may register for a Virtual Service Academy Q & A Session featuring academy representatives on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 6:00 PM CT - 7:00 PM CT. Applicants interested in participating in this virtual session must review the online modules prior to the live event.
