PLANO - To provide guidance to those who are facing financial difficulty due to COVID-19, Congressman Van Taylor (TX-03) will be hosting an online webinar with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 12:00 PM CT.

Congressman Van Taylor said, "During this critical time, I've spoken with countless of my constituents about the devastating effects coronavirus has had on their families, health, and finances. As a result of bipartisan efforts in Congress, many changes have been made to current law and many new programs are available. I'm excited to team up with the CFPB to provide Collin County residents the most up-to-date information and resources available to help protect and manage their finances throughout this pandemic."

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is a federal agency which works to provide Americans with information and tools to help protect themselves from harm when making financial decisions. Experts from the agency will provide a presentation on programs and flexibility provided by the CARES Act in regards to topics such as keeping up with your bills, mortgage relief and forbearance, dealing with debt, student loan repayment relief, and protecting your credit.
