RICHARDSON – U.S. Congressman Van Taylor (TX-03) joined students at Aldridge Elementary in Richardson to kick off his annual Valentines for Veterans program.

Each year, Congressman Taylor encourages Collin County teachers and students to create valentines that will be hand-delivered to veterans at the VA North Texas Healthcare System in Dallas.

This morning, Congressman Taylor joined students and faculty at Aldridge Elementary to kick off his Valentines for Veterans program and spoke with the Aldridge Ocelots about the importance of patriotism and thanking our veterans and military personnel.

Congressman Taylor shared with the children, "The men and women who serve our country do so because they love America and want to protect all of us who call America home." He continued, "By making homemade valentines, we can show these veterans how much we appreciate what they do."
