On September 21, 2019, Congressman Van Taylor will host a United States Military Service Academies Information Forum at the Collin College - Preston Ridge, Conference Center in Frisco.PLANO – On Saturday, September 21, 2019, United States Congressman Van Taylor (TX-03) will host a United States Military Service Academies Information Forum at the Collin College - Preston Ridge, Conference Center in Frisco.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about obtaining a Congressional Nomination to attend one of the United States Military Service Academies and will meet field representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
This informational event is recommended for all high school and middle school students who reside within Texas' Third Congressional District and are interested in attending a military academy. Additionally, students, their families, and educators will have an opportunity to meet firsthand with student representatives and liaisons from the U.S. Military Service Academies and Congressman Taylor’s office.
The U.S. Service Academies offer a unique and esteemed educational opportunity for young men and women. Accepted students receive a four year university education, room and board, medical and dental coverage and a stipend in exchange for a five year military service commitment upon graduation.
